TO BE - NOT TO BE. Nowadays young individual is struggling to find answers to some main existential questions: “who am I?”, “what do I want?”, “where is my place?”. Of course, answers to these questions are core ingredient of a happy life, however – daily routine, insane pace of everyday life leaves us with no energy to discover these important answers.

Nowadays it is easy to lose ourselves as unique individuals and blend in with a crowd, follow the rules and ideas of masses until it becomes our main aspirations. But what if you dare to stay yourself?

Photo series “To be-not to be” reflects that particular struggle of going against the stream and illustrates what body and mind goes through: portrait is blurred; faint light surrounds the area of a head and gradually erases portrait completely. Cold shades of grey helps to convey the mood of solitude and emptiness. Body (sort of) tries to stop the motion of the head; in some photos body is presented as clear and sharp object, but just for a short while - dizziness and unpleasant vibration takes over images again. Just like in real life – sometimes we manage to stand firm and have a clear vision and sometimes we drift between fears and doubts.

How not to give up?

To be or not be?
This circle is vicious.
